You heard it first, this is a hot, white summer. Since we can’t seem to get a break in 90+ degree temperatures in the U.S. I have been working on putting together cute summer outfits while avoiding melting. Summer style is all about avoiding everything ‘fits such as blue jeans shorts, floral dress, and linen tops. They’re supposed be breathable, but I find them too hot. It’s difficult to keep up my style while wearing something that makes me sweat. When I found white denim shorts I knew I had a style challenge that I could handle.

I was immediately intrigued when I saw someone wearing denim shorts. Before I could build outfits, I had to find white denim I could use as a fashion foundation. Target was my first successful shopping destination. I don’t know if you realized it yet, but Target is one of the best places to shop. I found ….drumroll, please…the perfect pair of denim white shorts for less than $13. Grab these now before they are gone.
I was immediately drawn to monochromatic styles when I saw white. Just as I was going to check out, I added to my cart a white tank top with ribs from Target. I knew that I could wear it with chunky gold jewellery and instantly look put-together even though it was the most worn and tested outfit combination of all time: shorts and tank top. I am also currently in love with the yellow shades I’m wearing, which cost only $9 on Amazon.
This red-trimmed Simon Miller tank is perfect for when I don’t want to wear all white. This tank will definitely be a part of my fall wardrobe. It’s easy to imagine myself wearing it with cargo pants.
These white denim Target shorts are high-rise so I can pair them with crop tops of different lengths. These shorts are not very stretchy, so you may want to go up in size if you prefer a better fit. I wear size 10, and have a waist of 29 inches and hips of 42 inches. I can’t buy pants because of the difference between my waist and hip sizes, but these measurements from Target were very accurate.

These are my babies. Can you believe that they are only $12.60 until Saturday? These look great with oversized white t-shirts. I’ve been avoiding wearing all-black tops with these shorts, because it makes me feel too 2013. These shorts look great with a top in blue/teal, as the model wears.
