Let me begin by saying that I have had a velcro shoe fixation for a long time and was hesitant to try other styles. The Catiba Pros immediately caught my eye, probably because of their skater-girl feel. Sometimes I dress very femininely, sometimes I copy the off-duty model look, and on other occasions I opt for an oversized, relaxed ‘fit. The Catiba Pros help me achieve my goal of appearing like a cool and edgy skater girl. That’s why I wear them with baggy denims and sweatshirts.
These sneakers are not only stylish, but also extremely comfortable. They’re even cozier than my beloved velcro sneakers. The Catiba Pro is equipped with mamona oil, bio-based cork and a completely slip-resistant rubber sole. The arch support was immediately noticeable as soon as I put them on. I knew that I would be able wear these all day. As usual, I was correct. The memory foam insole makes all the difference. FYI, they are true to size. I ordered them in a 6. If you want your toes to be able to move around, go up a half size.
Quick update: These shoes have been my go-tos for the past nine months. They’re so good that I prefer them to my trusty velcro sneakers. This day was something I never imagined. I wear them to run all my errands and go to work. I also wear them when I travel. This should tell you just how much I love these shoes.

The upper of the Catiba Pro is triple-stitched, made with premium suede, and organic cotton canvas. The lining, however, is cotton canvas. The laces, which are made of recycled plastic and metal aglets debossed with a design, are also made. My shoes are holding up well and I can see them lasting a long time.
You can wear these sneakers while skateboarding. I know that I said they helped me live out my skating girl dreams, but I meant it in a strictly sartorial sense. The outsole is made of raw natural gum rubber and has a herringbone design that gives it a grip. These kicks are perfect for all kinds of activities and occasions.
Cariuma has many sustainability initiatives. The brand has launched its own reforestation programme in the homeland of its founders, Brazil.
