The singer-songwriter shared on Instagram a tracklist of the album and special guests. “I’m very excited to show you my version of Speak Now, including the vault tracks as well as collaborations with @yelyahwilliams and @falloutboy.” Speak Now is all about me as a lyricist, so I asked the artists that I felt most influenced my writing at the time to sing on the album. They are so generous and cool for supporting my version of Speak Now. “I recorded this album at 32 years old (and I’m still growing now), and I can’t wait for you to see it on July 7th.”
Hayley Williams shared her excitement on Instagram about appearing on the album of her best friend: “Taylor is my first friend in the industry and someone I’ve hung out outside of work.” As you would do, I purchased my friend’s album when Speak Now was released. I listened to it all in my first car while parked in the driveway. This is my favorite Taylor Swift record for many reasons. “I wish I could return to my 21st-birthday and tell her that one day, she will own Speak Now. We’ll be able to sing on one of the tracks.”
She posted “It is here” on Instagram the day after it was released. It’s yours, it’s mine, it’s ours. It’s a solo album that I composed about my whims and fantasies, heartaches and dramas as a young girl between the ages of 18 and 20. I remember obsessing about the best way to tell my story as I made tracklist after tracklist. I had to make some tough choices and leave behind songs that I’m still proud of today. You now have six From The Vault songs! This album was recorded when I turned 32. I’m still growing now, but the memories brought back by this album filled me with appreciation and nostalgia.
